National Park Kellerwald
Only established in 2004 Kellerwald is one of Germany´s youngest National Parks. Its visitor center houses several interactive exhibits that provide points of view visitors will hardly experience first hand. For projections in three rotundas 20 different local species were modeled and animated in 3D.
In an interactive projection butterflies will land on visitors´ shadows as long as they stay calm. Otherwise they will be mostly surrounded by less pretentious insects. A second projection introduces inhabitants of the national park´s pure water. Trickling drops of water serve as magnifying glasses that will reveal the creatures more clearly for short moments. In a third rotunda moving projections of a fire salamander and a grasshopper act as counterparts for day and night.
